Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 10, 2026 ยท Last updated: October 5, 2026
This policy explains what SolarHub ("SolarHub," "we," "us") collects when you use WattWorth at wattworthreport.com or homesolarhub.com, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses WattWorth, in every state. Where a section applies to only some users, it says so.
1. Who this policy covers
Three roles interact with WattWorth. One person may hold more than one.
- Purchaser: whoever buys a WattWorth report. Usually the listing agent or the homeowner, but it may be anyone acting on the homeowner's behalf. Each purchase creates a single-use code.
- Homeowner (seller): the owner of the property the report is about, who redeems the code and completes the system information form, or on whose behalf it is completed.
- Designated recipient: whoever the homeowner names on the form to receive a copy of the report. Usually this is the listing agent, but it may be anyone the homeowner chooses. A recipient who is an agent may use the report link in the listing.
2. What we collect
From the homeowner, on the system information form
- Property address
- Home square footage (entered by you, or looked up; see Section 4)
- Solar system size, installation year, equipment make and model, installer name
- Ownership and financing structure (owned outright, loan, PACE, lease, or PPA) and, if applicable, the financing or lease company
- Utility provider, net-metering tier, and annual true-up amount
- Air conditioning system age, battery details, and warranty details, if provided
- Your email address, for delivery of the report
- The name and email address of the person you designate to receive the report (usually your listing agent, but anyone you choose)
- Whether you are the property owner, whether the recipient you name is your real estate agent, and your consent choices
Because the property address identifies a specific household, we treat every item above as personal information once it is tied to that address.
From the purchaser, on the order page
- Name and email address
- Brokerage, if an agent
- Payment and billing details, collected and processed by Stripe on Stripe's hosted checkout page. SolarHub never receives, sees, or stores card numbers.
From an agent who invites a homeowner to order
- Agent name, email address, and brokerage
- The homeowner's name and email address, so we can send the invitation on the agent's behalf
Purchase and redemption records
- The single-use code, the purchaser's email, the redeeming homeowner's email, timestamps, and (if an agent invited the homeowner to order) which agent. No compensation is paid on referral attribution.
Collected automatically
- Standard web request logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) handled by Cloudflare for security and operation of the order and form pages. We do not build profiles from these logs.
- Report link activity: view count, timestamp, and referring page only. We do not record the IP address or identity of anyone who views a report link.
- Email delivery status (sent, delivered, bounced) for report emails; for designated recipients, open and unsubscribe status on follow-up emails.
What we don't do: we do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels on the order page, the form, or report pages, and we do not upload anyone's information to advertising platforms for audience targeting.
Categories, in the terms California law uses
| Category | Collected | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Yes | Name, email, property address |
| Commercial information | Yes | Report purchased, purchase code, order date |
| Internet or network activity | Yes | Request logs; report link view counts |
| Geolocation data | No | We collect a property address, not device location |
| Financial information | No | Payment handled entirely by Stripe |
| Sensitive personal information | No | None |
| Inferences | No | Reports are calculated from the inputs you provide; we do not build profiles |
3. How we use it
- To generate the WattWorth Value Report and deliver it to the homeowner and the designated recipient
- To host the live report link for its access period (Section 5)
- To process payment, issue and redeem purchase codes, and keep order records
- After the home sells, to send postal mail addressed to the property's new owner about SolarHub products and services relevant to the system: battery storage, EV charger installation, system expansion, panel cleaning, or service on flagged equipment. This mail is addressed to the property; we do not collect the new owner's name or contact information.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, and prevent fraud and abuse
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
Reports are generated by a deterministic, rules-based calculation. We do not use your information to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Because we do neither, a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link is not required and does not appear on this site.
We share information only in these ways:
Report recipients. The report, including the property address and system details, is emailed to the homeowner and to the designated recipient, and is available to anyone who has the live report link (Section 5).
Property records lookup. To confirm home square footage, we send the property address to county assessor or parcel-data services. The address is the only information sent.
Service providers. Companies that process information on our behalf, contractually limited to that purpose:
| Provider | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, database, file storage, security | United States |
| Stripe | Payment processing | United States |
| Resend | Transactional email (report delivery) | United States |
| MailerLite | Designated-recipient follow-up email only; homeowners are never added | European Union |
| Lob | Printing and mailing of postal mail | United States |
Because MailerLite operates in the European Union, designated recipients' names and email addresses are transferred there for processing.
Sponsors and advertisers. If a report page carries a sponsor placement, the sponsor receives no personal information from us: not the address, not the report contents, not who viewed the page. Placement is advertising only. Clicks on sponsor links are counted by SolarHub without personal identifiers.
Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SolarHub, our users, or others.
Business transfer. If SolarHub is acquired, merges, or sells substantially all of its assets, information transfers with the business and remains subject to this policy.
5. The live report link
Every report is also available through a private web link.
- The report is frozen at generation. It reflects the information provided at that time and is never updated.
- The link works for 180 days from generation. After that it shows an "expired" page and the hosted copy is deleted.
- The link is private but not password-protected. It uses a long, randomly generated address and is marked so search engines do not index it. It is not listed anywhere public. Anyone who has the link can open it.
- Who realistically has access. The link is printed in the report PDF and is intended to be shared. Listing agents typically place it in the listing's agent-only MLS field (Private Remarks), which means anyone with access to the MLS listing (agents, brokers, and office staff working on their behalf) can open it, along with prospective buyers, buyers' agents, lenders, and appraisers it is shared with. It does not appear in public listing remarks and is not published to consumer sites such as Zillow, Redfin, or Realtor.com. Once shared, we cannot control who it is forwarded to.
- Homeowners may ask us to disable the link before 180 days (Section 8). PDF copies already delivered cannot be recalled.
6. How long we keep it
| Information | Kept for | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Live report page | 180 days from generation | Link expires; hosted copy deleted |
| Report PDF | 180 days from generation | Deleted |
| Report link view statistics | 180 days from generation | Deleted with the report |
| Report inputs and results | 3 years from generation | Deleted |
| Purchase, code, and redemption records | 3 years from redemption, or from expiry of an unredeemed code | Deleted |
| Seller invitations | 30 days | Deleted |
| Homeowner follow-up profile (opted-in homeowners only) | 3 years from your last interaction with SolarHub | Deleted, or sooner on request |
| Property record used for new-owner mail | 3 years from report generation | Deleted |
| Designated-recipient follow-up list | Until you unsubscribe, or 2 years without any email activity | Removed |
| Payment and transaction records | 7 years, as required for tax and accounting | Deleted |
| Email delivery logs | Per Resend's and MailerLite's standard retention | Rotated by the provider |
| Web request logs | Per Cloudflare's standard retention; not retained separately by SolarHub | Rotated by the provider |
Deletion on these schedules is automated. We may keep information longer where the law requires it or to resolve an active dispute, and we may keep it indefinitely in de-identified, aggregated form that cannot be tied back to a property or person.
7. Email and marketing
Homeowners receive the report-delivery email. If your agent invited you to order, you'll also receive that invitation and at most one reminder, and if someone ordered on your behalf, you'll receive the form link and at most one reminder. That's it. We do not send homeowners product marketing, and we do not send marketing text messages.
New owners. After a sale closes, we may send one or more postal mailers addressed to the property about SolarHub products relevant to the system. To stop them, email support@wattworthreport.com with the address.
Designated recipients receive the report-delivery email. The first email explains why you're receiving it: either you purchased the report, invited the homeowner to order it, or the homeowner named you to receive it. Recipients receive the report email only.
Agents who invite a seller receive transactional notices about that invitation (confirmation, and when the seller orders).
Opting out.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any message. We honor it within 10 business days, usually immediately.
- Postal mail (new owners): email support@wattworthreport.com with the address to remove.
Opting out of marketing stops the messages; it does not delete your information. To delete it, see Section 8.
8. Your rights and choices
These rights are available to every WattWorth user, regardless of where you live.
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it
- Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions the law allows (for example, we must keep payment records; we may keep what's needed to complete a transaction you asked for or to comply with a legal obligation)
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of sale or sharing: not applicable; we do neither
- Limit use of sensitive personal information: not applicable; we don't collect it
- Non-discrimination: exercising these rights will not affect the price, quality, or availability of anything we offer
How to make a request. Either:
- Email privacy@wattworthreport.com, or
- Write to SolarHub, Attn: Privacy, 310 S Twin Oaks Valley Road #439, San Marcos, CA 92078
Include the property address and what you'd like us to do.
How we verify you. We match the email address you write from against the one on file for that property. If they don't match, we'll ask for two pieces of information from the original form that only the person who completed it would know. We don't ask for more than we need to be confident it's you.
Authorized agents. Someone may make a request on your behalf if they provide your signed written permission, and we may still confirm the request with you directly.
Timing. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need longer, we'll tell you why and respond within 90 days total.
What deletion does and doesn't do. Deleting your information removes it from SolarHub's systems and disables any active report link. It does not recall PDF copies already delivered to the designated recipient or forwarded to others, and it does not remove a link from an MLS listing an agent controls. Ask them directly for that.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. WattWorth does not track users across other websites, so there is nothing for that signal to turn off, and we do not change our behavior in response to it.
9. Security
Information is stored with Cloudflare in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to SolarHub personnel who need it to operate the service. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 service provider. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Children
WattWorth is for adults involved in a real estate transaction. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has provided us information, email support@wattworthreport.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll post changes here with a new "last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use homeowner information, we'll email homeowners who have an email address on file before it takes effect.
